Cet ouvrage construit en 1895 et class\u00e9 aux monuments historiques depuis 2010 vient de subir d\u2019importants travaux de restauration. Soumises aux vents et autres ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes de vortex (mouvements tourbillonnaires fr\u00e9quents sous les ponts), battues par les pluies acides, confront\u00e9es aux \u00e9manations de gaz carbonique et au trafic de plus en plus dense, les piles du pont d\u00e9montraient de trop nombreux d\u00e9sordres structurels. La pierre est donc affaiblie. Pour traiter ces dommages, les multiples fissures doivent \u00eatre d\u00e9garnies, une \u00e0 une, du bas vers le haut. <strong>Les travaux ont donc consist\u00e9 \u00e0 reprendre les piles, \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des injections de coulis \u00e0 la chaux hydraulique, \u00e0 restaurer et r\u00e9parer les arches en pierre et \u00e0 uniformiser l\u2019ensemble avec un badigeon de chaux.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>LES \u00c9TAPES DE LA RESTAURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 &#8211; Le coulinage pour renforcer la structure des piles du pont<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Des coulinages ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans les vides de ma\u00e7onneries pour renforcer celles-ci. Pour ce faire, 50 tonnes de Chaux TRADI 100\u00ae &#8211; NHL 5 (chaux hydraulique naturelle) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inject\u00e9es gravitairement, afin de garnir les ma\u00e7onneries \u00e9vid\u00e9es et d\u2019\u00e9viter les fissures. Remplissant ainsi les vides \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des ma\u00e7onneries, le coulinage permet d\u2019augmenter la r\u00e9sistance et la durabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019ouvrage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 &#8211; R\u00e9paration des pierres et badigeonnage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Afin de retrouver chacune des belles ar\u00eates vives qui dessinent l\u2019ouvrage, toutes les pierres ab\u00eem\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9es et remodel\u00e9es avec le mortier de r\u00e9paration de pierre Saint-Astier. Les pierres n\u2019ayant ni la m\u00eame densit\u00e9, ni une couleur rigoureusement identique, un badigeon de chaux color\u00e9 (Badilith\u00ae &#8211; teinte n\u00b0 64) a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 par Saint-Astier pour unifier ensuite la teinte de l\u2019ensemble du parement.
