En partenariat avec le Syndicat Mixte RIVAGE \/ Natura 2000 et en collaboration avec l\u2019exploitation de Mme Roos Cukier \u00ab Les agneaux du R\u00e9art \u00bb, le Centre des monuments nationaux a mis en place un projet d\u2019\u00e9co-p\u00e2turage \u00e0 la forteresse de Salses, avec pour finalit\u00e9 d\u2019entretenir la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation aux abords du site tout en ayant une d\u00e9marche de d\u00e9veloppement durable. Du 7 au 12 janvier 2019, le troupeau de 450 brebis de Mme Roos Cukier a fait halte aux abords de la forteresse de Salses. Ce projet de p\u00e2turage des abords de la forteresse permet d\u2019entretenir la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation tout en apportant les ressources trophiques n\u00e9cessaires aux insectes coprophages (qui se nourrissent d’excr\u00e9ments) eux-m\u00eames principales sources d\u2019alimentation des populations de chauves-souris pr\u00e9sentes dans le monument. La pr\u00e9sence de ces chauves-souris a permis l\u2019int\u00e9gration de la forteresse au r\u00e9seau Natura 2000 visant la pr\u00e9servation des sites d\u2019importance europ\u00e9enne pour ces esp\u00e8ces notamment.<\/p>\n
