La restauration et la mise en valeur de la cath\u00e9drale de Rodez, class\u00e9e monument historique et propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9tat, s’est poursuivie en 2019 par la restauration de la chapelle du Saint-S\u00e9pulcre. Il s’agit de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de la campagne de travaux 2018-2021, qui comporte \u00e9galement la consolidation et la restauration du massif occidental, en cours de r\u00e9alisation. Les travaux dans la chapelle viennent de s’achever. Le public peut red\u00e9couvrir ce lieu remarquable dont les murs, les vo\u00fbtes et les d\u00e9cors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9s.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le chantier a notamment permis de traiter la cl\u00f4ture de pierre finement sculpt\u00e9e, de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler les d\u00e9cors de cand\u00e9labres peints sur les piliers monumentaux supportant la vo\u00fbte, ainsi que les vestiges d’un d\u00e9cor histori\u00e9 sur le mur faisant face au retable polychrome. L’op\u00e9ration, d’un montant proche de 500 000 euros, a \u00e9t\u00e9 conduite sous la ma\u00eetrise d’ouvrage de la Drac d\u2019Occitanie (CRMH) et dirig\u00e9e par Christophe Amiot, architecte en chef des Monuments historiques<\/p>\n

Les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les entreprises qualifi\u00e9es :<\/p>\n

\nd\u00e9cors peints : soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Malbrel (Capdenac \u2013 Lot) ;
\nrestauration de sculptures : atelier Quelart (Paris) ;
\nmenuiserie, d\u00e9pose et protection de tableau : soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Malbrel (Capdenac \u2013 Lot) ;
\n\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 : soci\u00e9t\u00e9 AGV- Flottes (Onet-le-Ch\u00e2teau \u2013 Aveyron).<\/p>\n
