Face aux d\u00e9gradations des plaques de plomb qui forment la couverture des chapelles Nord-Est du chevet de la cath\u00e9drale de Reims, la Drac Grand Est (Architecte des b\u00e2timents de France – conservatrice de la cath\u00e9drale et la Conservation r\u00e9gionale des monuments historiques), en concertation avec l\u2019Architecte en chef des monuments historiques charg\u00e9e de la cath\u00e9drale, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 la refixation des plaques. L\u2019entreprise Coanus a \u00e9t\u00e9 retenue. L\u2019intervention, estim\u00e9e \u00e0 15 jours, a d\u00e9but\u00e9 le 31 ao\u00fbt 2020 et concerne une surface de 250 m2. Par ailleurs, la couverture de la cath\u00e9drale de Reims pr\u00e9sente des signes de fragilit\u00e9, identifi\u00e9s par une \u00e9tude de 2012, que les campagnes d\u2019entretien r\u00e9guli\u00e8res ne permettent plus de r\u00e9soudre. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs interventions importantes (dont celle sur la toiture du ch\u0153ur, achev\u00e9e en 2018, pour un montant de 1,61 millions d\u2019euros) et afin d\u2019apporter une solution p\u00e9renne \u00e0 ces d\u00e9sordres, la DRAC Grand Est a missionn\u00e9, en d\u00e9cembre 2019, Marie-Suzanne de Ponthaud, architecte en chef des monuments historiques, pour mener \u00e0 bien la restauration des couvertures. La campagne de restauration, financ\u00e9e par l’Etat – DRAC Grand Est – sera programm\u00e9e courant 2021.<\/p>\n
