La d\u00e9pose qui avait commenc\u00e9 le 8 juin 2020 a donc dur\u00e9 moins de 6 mois. Constitu\u00e9 de 40 000 pi\u00e8ces d&rsquo;un poids de 200 tonnes, dont la moiti\u00e9 \u00e0 plus de 40 m\u00e8tres de haut, il repr\u00e9sentait une grave menace pour la cath\u00e9drale. L&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;un deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9chafaudage a permis aux cordistes de descendre au coeur de l&rsquo;\u00e9chafaudage incendi\u00e9 dont les pi\u00e8ces \u00e9taient soud\u00e9es entre elles par la chaleur. Les \u00e9chafaudeurs ont d\u00e9mont\u00e9 les parties accessibles \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une nacelle, lorsque le temps le permettait, les cordistes sont descendus au plus pr\u00e8s des parties calcin\u00e9es pour d\u00e9couper les tubesavec des scies sabres.
