L\u2019intervention dure trois jours. Elle n\u00e9cessite la location d\u2019une nacelle, d\u2019une port\u00e9e de 65 m\u00e8tres en hauteur et les services d\u2019une entreprise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e pour la conduite de la nacelle et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 : \u00e0 bord de la nacelle se trouvent le pilote et un op\u00e9rateur de l\u2019entreprise Pontiggia, et l\u2019agent de la DRAC Grand Est qui proc\u00e8de au contr\u00f4le et aux op\u00e9rations sur l\u2019\u00e9difice. Au sol, un op\u00e9rateur de l\u2019entreprise assure le balisage et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du public. L\u2019examen permet de limiter et pr\u00e9venir les chutes de pierres, de nettoyer des parties inaccessibles aux cordistes. Selon ce qui est d\u00e9couvert ou mis \u00e0 jour, les actions men\u00e9es directement sur site sont le renforcement de pi\u00e8ces fissur\u00e9es, \u00e9ventuellement la pose d&rsquo;un filet ; la d\u00e9pose d&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments mena\u00e7ant de tomber (qui auraient pu constituer un danger pour les personnes ou l&rsquo;\u00e9difice dont les toitures) ; l\u2019inspection d&rsquo;anciens renforts ou emmaillotages ; le rep\u00e9rage de points de vigilances ; la purge des boues (mati\u00e8res organiques ou fientes), flore qui pousse dans des joints de pierre, d\u00e9chets lanc\u00e9s depuis la plate-forme (objets personnels tomb\u00e9s, pliages lanc\u00e9s, etc.) et depuis l&rsquo;espace public (bouteilles, chaussures, etc.) ; un compl\u00e9ment d&rsquo;entretien habituellement inaccessibles (les sorties des gargouilles par exemple) en action avec les cordistes.
