Con\u00e7u par l\u2019architecte japonais <span class=\"s1\">Kengo Kuma<\/span>, le projet associe b\u00e9ton blanc, pr\u00e9fabrication et b\u00e9ton fibr\u00e9 \u00e0 ultra haute performance dans une intervention pens\u00e9e en dialogue avec l\u2019architecture gothique de l\u2019\u00e9difice.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-113515\" src=\"https:\/\/batijournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Cathedrale-d_Angers_Galerie-conte-mporaine_credits-Jousselin-4-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"588\" height=\"881\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Laur\u00e9at du concours lanc\u00e9 en 2020 par le minist\u00e8re de la Culture, Kengo Kuma a imagin\u00e9 une structure aux lignes \u00e9lanc\u00e9es venant prolonger la fa\u00e7ade de la cath\u00e9drale tout en pr\u00e9servant la lecture du monument. L\u2019objectif est double : prot\u00e9ger durablement les sculptures du XIIIe si\u00e8cle des intemp\u00e9ries et cr\u00e9er une nouvelle relation visuelle avec le patrimoine existant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">La r\u00e9alisation du projet mobilise plusieurs acteurs industriels et techniques. Le ciment CEM II\/A 52.5 BLANC de <span class=\"s1\">Lafarge<\/span>, produit \u00e0 l\u2019usine du Teil, a \u00e9t\u00e9 retenu pour sa blancheur, utilis\u00e9e dans la fabrication des 660 pi\u00e8ces pr\u00e9fabriqu\u00e9es composant la galerie. Cette teinte claire permet d\u2019\u00e9tablir une continuit\u00e9 avec les pierres historiques de la cath\u00e9drale tout en affirmant l\u2019\u00e9criture contemporaine de l\u2019intervention. Le projet int\u00e8gre \u00e9galement le BFUP Ductal de <span class=\"s1\">Holcim<\/span>, utilis\u00e9 pour r\u00e9pondre aux contraintes techniques et structurelles de cette r\u00e9alisation aux \u00e9l\u00e9ments fins et fortement sollicit\u00e9s. La pr\u00e9fabrication a \u00e9t\u00e9 confi\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019entreprise Jousselin Pr\u00e9fabrication, du groupe Guillerm, dont le savoir-faire a permis de r\u00e9pondre aux exigences de pr\u00e9cision du chantier.
