Celle-ci, sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 200% en 2007 et 2008, a encore \u00e9t\u00e9 de 140% en 2009. Le succ\u00e8s du photovolta\u00efque est \u00e9galement \u00e0 chercher dans la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des possibilit\u00e9s d\u0092implantation, dans le d\u00e9veloppement industriel et les emplois qu\u0092il g\u00e9n\u00e8re. Enfin, cette technologie implique la s\u00e9curisation du r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique, notamment par la production d\u00e9centralis\u00e9e au plus pr\u00e8s de la consommation, ainsi que pour l\u0092\u00e9lectrification rurale.\u000b\u000bUn march\u00e9 porteur\u000bEn France, la croissance amorc\u00e9e depuis 2006 se poursuit : 105MWc install\u00e9s en 2008, 250 en 2009 et, au 31 mars 2010, ERDF et EDF SEI \u00e9valuaient la puissance de l\u0092ensemble du parc photovolta\u00efque fran\u00e7ais raccord\u00e9 au r\u00e9seau \u00e0 349MW, dont 271MW en m\u00e9tropole et 78MW en outre-mer et Corse (contre, respectivement, 200MW et 69MW fin d\u00e9cembre 2009). La progression du parc en puissance, entre fin d\u00e9cembre et fin mars, a \u00e9t\u00e9 de 31%, et s\u0092est faite essentiellement en France m\u00e9tropolitaine.Sur une ann\u00e9e, la production du parc photovolta\u00efque fran\u00e7ais repr\u00e9sente environ 360GWh d\u0092\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, soit l\u0092\u00e9quivalent de la consommation \u00e9lectrique de 160000 habitants, tous postes de consommation confondus.\u000bL\u0092objectif officiel issu du Grenelle est un march\u00e9 annuel 2020 de\u000bl\u0092ordre de 1GWc, pour un parc cumul\u00e9 de 5,4GWc. Cependant, les professionnels d\u0092Enerplan pr\u00e9voient plut\u00f4t un march\u00e9 annuel 2020 de 2GWc. En ne se basant que sur le potentiel du b\u00e2timent neuf et de la r\u00e9novation de l\u0092existant, le march\u00e9 en France m\u00e9tropolitaine atteindrait 13,4GWc cumul\u00e9s fin 2020, uniquement dans le b\u00e2timent.\u000b\u000bSurtout des petites puissances\u000bLe parc fran\u00e7ais est compos\u00e9 essentiellement de syst\u00e8mes photovolta\u00efques de faible puissance, int\u00e9gr\u00e9s en fa\u00e7ade ou en toiture sur les habitations domestiques : 86% des installations ont une puissance inf\u00e9rieure ou \u00e9gale \u00e0 3kW. Les installations int\u00e9gr\u00e9es sur les toitures de b\u00e2timents collectifs atteignent de 10 \u00e0 100kWc, les toitures industrielles ou tertiaires allant au-del\u00e0 de 250kWc. Enfin, on trouve les centrales au sol, sup\u00e9rieures au MWc.\u000bLa structure du tarif d\u0092achat de l\u0092\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 photovolta\u00efque, bonifiant l\u0092int\u00e9gration au b\u00e2ti depuis 2006, a donc orient\u00e9 le march\u00e9 fran\u00e7ais autour du BIPV (Building Integrated PV). Ce constat est dans la logique des conclusions du Grenelle de l\u0092environnement, qui associe le d\u00e9veloppement du photovolta\u00efque \u00e0 l\u0092am\u00e9lioration de l\u0092efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des b\u00e2timents. Les nouveaux tarifs d\u0092achat publi\u00e9s par le gouvernement en janvier 2010 restent dans cet objectif.\u000b\u000b\u00c9volutions techniques\u000bPlusieurs technologies sont actuellement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es pour la r\u00e9alisation de cellules photovolta\u00efques. On distingue les cellules en silicium cristallin et les cellules en couches minces. Les premi\u00e8res sont constitu\u00e9es de fines plaques de silicium, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment chimique tr\u00e8s abondant et qui s\u0092extrait notamment du sable ou du quartz. Les cellules en silicium cristallin sont d\u0092un bon rendement. Les cellules en couches minces sont quant \u00e0 elles fabriqu\u00e9es en d\u00e9posant une ou plusieurs couches semi-\u00adconductrices et photosensibles sur un support de verre, de plastique, d\u0092acier\u0085 Cette technologie permet de diminuer le co\u00fbt de fabrication, mais son rendement est inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui des cellules en silicium cristallin. Les cellules en couches minces les plus r\u00e9pandues sont en silicium amorphe, compos\u00e9es de silicium projet\u00e9 sur un mat\u00e9riel souple.\u000bChaque fili\u00e8re poss\u00e8de donc ses avantages et ses inconv\u00e9nients : rendements, co\u00fbts de production, disponibilit\u00e9 des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res, difficult\u00e9s d\u0092industrialisation, faible dur\u00e9e de vie des cellules\u0085 Si la fili\u00e8re \u00e0 base de silicium cristallin domine le march\u00e9 avec plus de 90% des ventes, la technologie des cellules en couches minces conna\u00eet actuellement un fort d\u00e9veloppement. Selon une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par GTM Research, la capacit\u00e9 de production de panneaux photovolta\u00efques en couches minces d\u00e9passera 10GW d\u0092ici fin 2012. Ce march\u00e9 a jusqu\u0092ici \u00e9t\u00e9 tir\u00e9 par la croissance de First Solar, mais aussi par l\u0092\u00e9mergence de nombre de fabricants de solutions en silicium amorphe, qui restera la technologie dominante, suivie par les technologies CdTe (tellurure de cadmium) et CIGS (cuivre, indium, gallium, s\u00e9l\u00e9nium)\u0085\u000b\u000bUne r\u00e9ponse au b\u00e2timent positif\u000bEn France, la r\u00e9glementation thermique prend en compte six postes de consommation : le chauffage, l\u0092eau chaude sanitaire, la ventilation, la climatisation, les auxiliaires et l\u0092\u00e9clairage. Un b\u00e2timent BBC doit atteindre pour l\u0092ensemble de ces postes une consommation maximale d\u0092\u00e9nergie primaire de 50kWh par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 et par an (corrig\u00e9 du climat). Un b\u00e2timent BEPOS devra, pour sa part, produire plus d\u0092\u00e9nergie qu\u0092il n\u0092en consommera.\u000bDans le cadre du BEPOS, aux six postes d\u00e9finis par la RT 2005, il faudra ajouter le poste \u00ab mobilier \u00e9lectrique \u00bb (r\u00e9frig\u00e9rateur, machine \u00e0 laver\u0085). Ce dernier poste repr\u00e9sente dans de nombreux cas environ 60kWh par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 et par an. Pour atteindre cet objectif, il faut donc produire de l\u0092ordre de 110kWh par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 et par an, ce qui s\u0092obtient avec environ 1m2 de photovolta\u00efque pour 3,5m2 de surface habitable en zone m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne et pour 2m2 de surface habitable dans le nord de la France. D\u0092ici 2020, le photovolta\u00efque sera donc largement diffus\u00e9 dans les b\u00e2timents neufs, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la r\u00e9ponse\u000btechnique et strat\u00e9gique qu\u0092il apporte \u00e0 la r\u00e9glementation thermique.\u000b\u000bUn secteur dynamique\u000bSelon une \u00e9tude de l\u0092ADEME, la cr\u00e9ation d\u0092emplois directs dans la fili\u00e8re photovolta\u00efque en 2009 a doubl\u00e9, passant de 4000 \u00e0 8000. Pour PricewaterhouseCoopers, le secteur devrait compter 15000 postes en 2012, principalement pourvus par l\u0092aval de la cha\u00eene de valeur. Ce chiffre reste modeste compar\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u0092industrie allemande qui employait 40000 personnes en 2008.
