Boost\u00e9e par le cr\u00e9dit d\u0092’imp\u00f4t et l’\u0092\u00e9co-ptz en installations domestiques et par le Fonds chaleur en installations collectives, la g\u00e9othermie devrait \u00e9quiper six millions de logements d\u0092ici\u00a02020, objectif fix\u00e9 par les pouvoirs publics. Rappelons que la France poss\u00e8de le deuxi\u00e8me parc de production europ\u00e9en, avec une capacit\u00e9 de 16,5MWe, derri\u00e8re la Su\u00e8de. Cette production a augment\u00e9 de 66% ces deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et d\u00e9passe un million de tonnes \u00e9quivalent p\u00e9trole (Mtep), avec le d\u00e9veloppement des pompes \u00e0 chaleur. Le nombre de foyers \u00e9quip\u00e9s de ce dispositif a \u00e9t\u00e9 multipli\u00e9 par\u00a07,5 depuis\u00a02006, passant de 75000 \u00e0 565000 fin\u00a02009. Pour atteindre l\u0092’objectif de 23% d\u0092’\u00e9nergies renouvelables dans le mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique en\u00a02020, la France compte sur cette \u00e9nergie. Sa production devrait \u00eatre multipli\u00e9e par six en dix ans et pourrait repr\u00e9senter 10% de l\u0092’augmentation de la production d\u0092’\u00e9nergie renouvelable (20Mtep) fix\u00e9e par le Grenelle pour\u00a02020. Pour arriver \u00e0 cet objectif \u00ab\u00a0ambitieux\u00a0\u00bb, le gouvernement vise l\u0092’\u00e9quipement de deux millions de foyers en pompes \u00e0 chaleur, ce qui repr\u00e9sente un investissement de 15 \u00e0 20\u00a0milliards d\u0092’euros.
