Les travaux consid\u00e9rables accomplis de collecte et de synth\u00e8se d&rsquo;informations montrent l&rsquo;exceptionnelle diversit\u00e9 des ressources. L&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement d&rsquo;une premi\u00e8re liste des esp\u00e8ces d&rsquo;arbres pr\u00e9sentes concerne quatre continents (Europe, Am\u00e9rique, Afrique et Oc\u00e9anie). R\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, de nouvelles esp\u00e8ces sont d\u00e9couvertes, en particulier en Guyane. Cet inventaire constitue une composante du volet forestier du Plan national d&rsquo;adaptation au changement climatique, s&rsquo;inscrivant dans la politique de conservation et de gestion durable des ressources g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques foresti\u00e8res. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer les capacit\u00e9s d&rsquo;adaptation aux cons\u00e9quences du changement climatique.
