Les oxydes de fer conf\u00e8rent une stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re et aux intemp\u00e9ries maximale, une grande profondeur de couleur et une compatibilit\u00e9 aux agents chimiques, conjugu\u00e9es \u00e0 un pouvoir couvrant remarquable. Leur excellent rapport qualit\u00e9-prix constitue de plus un avantage non n\u00e9gligeable. La campagne de peinture de la charpente m\u00e9tallique de 7300 tonnes et de 324 m\u00e8tres de hauteur qui a lieu tous les sept ans, fait partie de l\u0092&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage du constructeur de la Tour, Gustave Eiffel. Ce sont 25 peintres qui utilisent 1 500 brosses et rouleaux pour appliquer les 60 tonnes de peinture anticorrosion pendant une p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9novation de 18 mois. Le co\u00fbt de ce nouveau look pour les 250.000 m2 d&rsquo;acier est d\u0092&rsquo;environ quatre millions d&rsquo;euros. La fin des travaux de peinture est pr\u00e9vue pour l\u0092&rsquo;automne 2010. Les peintres de l\u0092&rsquo;entreprise grecque Stelma, qui a remport\u00e9 le contrat pour ce projet, appliquent en deux couches le syst\u00e8me anticorrosion \u00e0 base de r\u00e9sine alkyde ur\u00e9thane.
