Cette op\u00e9ration pilot\u00e9e par le Conseil national du peuplier (CNP) vise \u00e0 relancer les reboisements de l&rsquo;essence en question en rapprochant les maillons de la fili\u00e8re et en incitant financi\u00e8rement les propri\u00e9taires \u00e0 reboiser apr\u00e8s r\u00e9colte. L&rsquo;usine Drouin, l&rsquo;un des initiateurs de la d\u00e9marche, d\u00e9clare \u00e0 cette occasion : \u00ab\u00a0Nous passons l\u00e0 une \u00e9tape importante pour l&rsquo;avenir du peuplier en France. Cette charte a donn\u00e9 de tr\u00e8s bons r\u00e9sultats dans plusieurs des r\u00e9gions pilotes depuis fin 2011. Le passage au niveau national en est la suite logique, et nous en attendons beaucoup pour la gestion durable de cette essence.\u00a0\u00bb\u000b\u000bCe sont les entreprises elles-m\u00eames qui ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;agir pour l&rsquo;avenir en cr\u00e9ant la charte. Concr\u00e8tement, elles proposent aux propri\u00e9taires, au moment o\u00f9 elles ach\u00e8tent le bois, de signer une convention : le propri\u00e9taire s&rsquo;engage \u00e0 reboiser, et, une fois la replantation r\u00e9alis\u00e9e, l&rsquo;acheteur du bois lui remettra 2,50 euros par tige replant\u00e9e ; cela repr\u00e9sente pr\u00e8s de 500 euros par hectare.\u000b\u000bComme l&rsquo;indique Eric Vandromme, pr\u00e9sident du CNP, l&rsquo;enjeu est de taille : \u00ab\u00a0Le niveau de r\u00e9colte est inchang\u00e9 depuis une dizaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, mais on reboise aujourd&rsquo;hui entre une parcelle sur trois et une parcelle sur deux seulement.
