En 1980, Vend\u00e9e Sani-Therm est rejointe par Vend\u00e9e Carrelage. En 1981, l\u2019Union des artisans du bois, avec la coop\u00e9rative des Ma\u00e7ons R\u00e9unis, s\u2019installent sur ce site de La Ferri\u00e8re. A l\u2019initiative de ces coop\u00e9ratives d\u2019achats des artisans du b\u00e2timent, ce site devient le premier Artip\u00f4le sur le territoire national en 2001. Une zone artisanale de pr\u00e8s de 20 hectares enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la construction, \u00e0 la r\u00e9novation et \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9nagement de l\u2019habitat. La coop\u00e9rative compte aujourd\u2019hui 245 artisans adh\u00e9rents, ce qui repr\u00e9sente plus de 1 100 salari\u00e9s, 70 000 m2 de stockage d\u00e9di\u00e9s aux r\u00e9f\u00e9rences des 450 fournisseurs, 1 600 m2 de bureaux occup\u00e9s par une \u00e9quipe technique en charge des produits et 110 salari\u00e9s. En 1998, l\u2019UAB a cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 La Ferri\u00e8re la premi\u00e8re salle d\u2019exposition, D*Finition, de 2 300m2, accessible aux artisans et \u00e0 leurs clients, et mettant en situation plus de 500 r\u00e9f\u00e9rences. Dirig\u00e9e, depuis 1981, par Christian Puau, l\u2019UAB a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 2010 un chiffre d\u2019affaires de 53 millions d\u2019euros.
