Or, cette carri\u00e8re est class\u00e9e au titre des monuments historiques par d\u00e9cret du 14 janvier 1994. Datant du XIV\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, elle pr\u00e9sente un panorama complet des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s d&rsquo;exploitation de la pierre de taille \u00e0 la fin du Moyen-Age. De plus, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du circuit de visite des catacombes, elle est la seule de cette \u00e9poque, sous Paris, encore susceptible d&rsquo;\u00eatre rendue accessible au public. Elle se caract\u00e9rise par la superposition de deux niveaux d&rsquo;exploitation, reli\u00e9s entre eux par un trou de communication qui permet d&rsquo;observer les deux ateliers d&rsquo;exploitation de la carri\u00e8re, et par la pr\u00e9sence, \u00e0 chacun de ces niveaux, de piliers \u00e0 bras datant de 1790 destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la renforcer. Le niveau inf\u00e9rieur de la carri\u00e8re est inclus dans le d\u00e9cret de classement du 14 janvier 1994, qui a ainsi reconnu l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat artistique et historique qui s&rsquo;attache \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de ce monument. Au dessus d&rsquo;elle, \u00e0 un m\u00e8tre sous terre chemine \u00e9galement l&rsquo;aqueduc gallo-romain, des sources de Wissous jusqu&rsquo;aux thermes du boulevard Saint Michel. Enfin, en surface, se trouve la derni\u00e8re ferme de Paris, exploit\u00e9e jusqu&rsquo;en 1955, avec sa crypte, sa large cour, le pavillon \u00ab Troubadour \u00bb du 19e et plusieurs b\u00e2timents faubouriens du 19e si\u00e8cle.\u000b\u000bLe tribunal administratif de Paris vient d&rsquo;annuler l&rsquo;autorisation de travaux octroy\u00e9e le 13 mai 2011 par le pr\u00e9fet de la r\u00e9gion Ile-de-France, apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9j\u00e0 publi\u00e9 un r\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 suspensif l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier. L&rsquo;Etat devra en outre verser \u00e0 l&rsquo;association requ\u00e9rante une somme de 2000 euros.
