C\u0092est le chef d\u0092&rsquo;oeuvre de deux grands ma\u00eetres du gothique tardif (1512 \u0096 1516) : Matthias Gr\u00fcnewald qui en a peint les panneaux, et Nicolas de Haguenau pour la partie sculpt\u00e9e. La restauration consistera en un amincissement des vernis, et un d\u00e9gagement de certains repeints maladroits.
