Puisque cette maison avait \u00e9t\u00e9 jusque-l\u00e0 construite avec une certaine exigence dans le choix des mat\u00e9riaux : b\u00e9ton brut (murs porteurs), acier (garde-corps et escaliers \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de la maison), fen\u00eatres en aluminium sur toute la hauteur, plancher en ch\u00eane… qu’allait-il en \u00eatre de la tr\u00e9mie d’escalier, sachant que la propri\u00e9taire souhaitait qu’elle conf\u00e8re un accent singulier \u00e0 l’habitat : t\u00f4le perfor\u00e9e ou m\u00e9tal d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 ? Lequel des deux produits Mevaco allait \u00eatre mis en oeuvre ? En effet, les deux r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, qu’elles soient en acier, inox ou aluminium, rempliraient leur r\u00f4le de d\u00e9limitation et de protection dans la cage d’escalier, comme mur, tout en offrant design et transparence.\u000bLa cage d’escalier relie directement, \u00e0 partir du garage souterrain, les caves, le logement annexe et l’habitation principale. Au centre, la tr\u00e9mie d’escalier a une hauteur totale de 5 m\u00e8tres.\u000bPour la t\u00f4le perfor\u00e9e, Mevaco met \u00e0 disposition une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de perforations design, perforation lis ou ellipse galb\u00e9e, classiques rondes ou carr\u00e9es dans toutes les dimensions. Le m\u00e9tal d\u00e9ploy\u00e9, polyvalent, existe dans les dimensions de mailles et de largeurs de lani\u00e8res les plus diverses. L’effet optique va d’une forme ouverte, grillag\u00e9e, \u00e0 une surface ferm\u00e9e. La production de m\u00e9tal d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 n’engendre pas de chutes de d\u00e9coupage, ce dernier est donc plus durable. Les deux produits auraient sans aucun doute pour r\u00e9sultat un mur d’escalier s\u00e9duisant. Tout allait d\u00e9pendre d\u00e9sormais de ce que souhaitait, personnellement, la propri\u00e9taire et de son examen des \u00e9chantillons.\u000bEt la ma\u00eetre d’ouvrage a opt\u00e9 pour le m\u00e9tal d\u00e9ploy\u00e9. Celui-ci ne pr\u00e9sente pas un aspect lisse et plan comme la t\u00f4le perfor\u00e9e, mais semble tridimensionnel. En raison de sa surface 3D, le m\u00e9tal d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 pr\u00e9sente des effets surprenants, surtout dans la r\u00e9flexion de la lumi\u00e8re. Un emploi cibl\u00e9 de l’\u00e9clairage, judicieusement agenc\u00e9, accentue donc l’effet optique m\u00eame dans un espace relativement r\u00e9duit.\u000bEnsuite, le menuisier m\u00e9tallique a \u00e9labor\u00e9 les esquisses pour l’agencement de la construction, pris les mesures et fix\u00e9 le m\u00e9tal sur un cadre en acier de construction. La pose de la construction en acier s’est faite directement dans la cage d’escalier.
