Il active les principes de fonctionnement : il s\u2019expanse, se plie ou se noue de mani\u00e8re autonome en fonction du mat\u00e9riau support pour assurer une tenue parfaitement s\u00fbre et durable. La partie rouge en poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, avec ses ailettes d&rsquo;expansion, assure une fixation solide et fiable dans les mat\u00e9riaux pleins, et fournit une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 suppl\u00e9mentaire au corps gris. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa collerette \u00e9troite, elle se pr\u00e9-positionne facilement, ne glisse pas dans le trou de per\u00e7age et permet une installation en attente ou traversante. Les ergots anti-rotation emp\u00eachent la cheville de tourner dans le trou de per\u00e7age lors de l&rsquo;installation. Les extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s sont herm\u00e9tiques, pour \u00e9viter que les poussi\u00e8res de per\u00e7age n\u2019entrent dans le corps de la cheville, et permettent un vissage fluide. Gr\u00e2ce aux deux mati\u00e8res, l&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la cheville n&rsquo;est pas ouverte, ce qui assure une meilleure expansion dans les mat\u00e9riaux pleins et un taux de charges plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que ceux des chevilles conventionnelles.
