La r\u00e9novation du lyc\u00e9e L\u00e9onard-de-Vinci \u00e0 Montpellier vise \u00e0 conf\u00e9rer une nouvelle identit\u00e9 \u00e0 cet ensemble enclav\u00e9 et peu visible. L\u2019agence Hellin-Sebbag Architectes Associ\u00e9s signe un projet d\u2019envergure avec une entr\u00e9e monumentale, tel un signal sur la ville. Ainsi, le b\u00e2timent d\u2019accueil, premi\u00e8re tranche des travaux, se distingue par son architecture g\u00e9om\u00e9trique, a\u00e9rienne et ses nombreux murs-rideaux. L\u2019ensemble est baign\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re naturelle.
\nConcr\u00e8tement, l\u2019ouvrage est constitu\u00e9 de deux volumes : le premier est un monolithe gris en b\u00e9ton, de deux \u00e9tages, qui regroupe le hall du lyc\u00e9e, une salle d\u2019exposition, une salle polyvalente, les locaux de la vie scolaire, des salles de classe et les bureaux des professeurs. Le second, appel\u00e9 \u00ab triangle rouge \u00bb, est un avant-corps de forme triangulaire en R + 1, align\u00e9 sur la rue. Cet ensemble de couleur rouge s\u2019enroule autour d\u2019un patio central sur lequel donnent les bureaux de l\u2019administration. Le tout est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en charpente m\u00e9tallique.
\nLes deux volumes du b\u00e2timent sont unifi\u00e9s par une ombri\u00e8re m\u00e9tallique translucide qui prot\u00e8ge le b\u00e2timent de l\u2019administration et se prolonge le long de l\u2019axe pi\u00e9ton central jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e du lyc\u00e9e. L\u2019ensemble donne une impression de grande l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et de transparence. Les 600\u2009m2 de murs-rideaux (Kadrille 1202 Kawneer), souvent en double hauteur, ne laissant entrevoir qu\u2019une vue d\u2019aluminium r\u00e9duite de 50, sont mis en \u0153uvre le long des circulations, autour du patio central, de la salle d\u2019exposition, et parach\u00e8vent cette sensation de l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9.<\/p>\n
