Alors que Paris assigne en r\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9, le 12 avril 2018, Airbnb et Wimdu, Johanna Dagorn, sociologue \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Bordeaux (laboratoire LACES), et Matthieu Rouveyre, fondateur de l\u2019Observatoire Airbnb, conseiller municipal de Bordeaux, vice-pr\u00e9sident du d\u00e9partement de la Gironde, analysent l\u2019impact de l\u2019expansion de ce type de plateformes pour les villes. Les cons\u00e9quences du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne sont importantes et, parmi les plus probl\u00e9matiques, on compte la rar\u00e9faction de l\u2019offre de logements d\u00e9di\u00e9s aux habitants, l\u2019augmentation du prix du foncier et des loyers ou encore la transformation du paysage \u00e9conomique et commercial de la ville.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Selon Anne Clerval, dans son ouvrage Paris sans le peuple, la gentrification des quartiers populaires est acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e par le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne Airbnb. Les classes moyennes partent \u00e0 la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie des centres-villes et gentrifient \u00e0 leur tour ces deuxi\u00e8mes couches, rel\u00e9guant les pauvres \u00e0 la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie des p\u00e9riph\u00e9ries. Ce sont majoritairement des studios, T1 et T2 qui sont propos\u00e9s aux touristes. La location saisonni\u00e8re de ces petites surfaces s\u2019op\u00e8re alors au d\u00e9triment des jeunes, des \u00e9tudiants et des familles les plus modestes. La premi\u00e8re cons\u00e9quence de ce manque de T1 et T2 \u00e0 la location est la difficult\u00e9 de se loger pour tous les \u00e9tudiants. Elle porte pr\u00e9judice aux classes moyennes et populaires \u00e9loign\u00e9es des p\u00f4les. Les familles peuvent tr\u00e8s difficilement loger leurs enfants \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des universit\u00e9s, condamnant ainsi ces derniers \u00e0 effectuer des allers et retours longs et co\u00fbteux en termes de fatigue et de r\u00e9ussite.
